Wild Bill Hickok, sort of
Ok this Pegaso model is called gunslinger, but he has a striking reseblance to Wild Bill Hickok.
The picture of the model on the pegaso site has a realy nice striped pants, and I tried and tried to make it striped, but i just couldn't get it right, either the stripes got fat and ugly and wigely, or the paint dried on the tip of the brush before I could make a stripe.

Anyway the guy has a nice yellow vest, a light medium blue coat, lighter blue pants, his two colt navy revolvers with ivory grips.
The guy is very colorfull, mabye to colorfull, but I wanted the rich gunslinge feel, a guy with expencive colorfull clothes

And here are the three finished 54mm western figs I've painted
The bankrober is easly the best, Wild bill is a far second and the bounty killer on the right a clear third, but they are all sevral steps about anything els I've done

More western, and scale comparesing
Ok this is a romeo 54mm bought from the pageso webshop the fig is in the same style as pegaso, in other words fantasic models.
This guy didn't turn out as good as the pegaso, I did the coat sand with black trimmings, didn't work out that well. I used kaki for shading the coat which I do think worked well.

The reason the model didn't turn out that well, was that I didn't get the bandolere right, or the other leather work for that mater, to much clutter and not enough skill to make it look good. The cartridges in the bandolere didn't look good, the leather it self didn't look good ect.
And as useual the face sucks, on the positive side the the pants turned out realy well, and the gun belt turned out ok

And finnaly a scale comparesment, from left to right, 15mm, 28mm, 50mm, 54mm and 70mm

Lets rob a bank
Ok, a 54mm bankrober from pegaso models.

Gave him crome revolvers, probebly a succsesfull rober, I feel for the first time I can't blame the paints or anything els, the paints did what I wanted them to do. So this is basicly my best.
I'm VERY happy with this guy, except for the eyes which look silly
The leather looks like leather, the trousers have both shades and highlights even got them to look worn.

The bank desk is a bit bland I tried sevral ways to make it looks like real wanished wood, but it turned out badly, so I just made it look like painted wood.
Other side of the desk, with a scattergun.

Welcome to Minersville South Dakota
This is Minersville, a small and booming mining town, it's also close to Fort Randall, so quite often it sees the US cavalry coming though on it's way to fight the indians.
This town will be my western gaming town, I have lots of planes for games with it.
The first one will see The Jackson five gang againt the Anderson Brothers, with the Town sherif and it's people in the middel of a small town war.
It will also see some historic characters from time to time, aswell as be the stageing ground for fight between the US and Indians. And a western town would not be complete with out a bankrobery or two.
All buildings are Buffalo chip, some turned out ok, others crap,
It still needs a jail, a bank and a few more outhouses

The Good, The Good and the OK
My first Western figs:
I got 12 Dixon Old west figs today and had to paint them up, I also got some paint, inks and washes from Scalecreep so I got a chance to test them out.
I painted two of them in blue jeans, while the other has a more of a high class feel to it, inspiered by the clothes worn by the Earp Brothers in Tombstone.

Here are all three, I did a lot of work shading them and I feel they turned out prety good, I'm quite satisfied with them, their faces aren't that good and I can't seem to get the hang of it. two of the figs have lots facial hair so it hides my shoddy work.

The Old style Spagetii westen in duster, I decided to give him a red west simply for the color and to test out the new brick red color I got to shade it.
The old worker, white shirt, blue jeans, with red undershirt.
The high class man, a well of Sherif or Marshal, or mabye a succesful gambler.
I like most of the work on this one except for the crap face. Looks like someone has shoot in min the face with a scattergun.
Because of the dark clothes I had to shade with black, but I think it turned out prety good.
All in all I think my painting has improved in a short time, I painted some French light infantry yesterday and they turned out ok to, I'll post pics of them when they are based and ready for the table
