In a rut

So it has happned again. in a rut, I got so much to paint but don't really feel like it.

I got new plastic russians, metal russsians, 10mm ACW, 28mm ACW, 15mm Samurai, 28mm Samurai, 15mm 7YW, 6mm ancients and 28mm ancients.

I don't really feel like painting any of them tho I do want to get back to my Ancients.

I got two pike blocks to finish, one princpes to finish, thuroporo to finish, a bunch of carthagians, some latin allies ect.

Over the last few days or even a week now I've been playing The witcher 2, it's a fantastic game, I bought it long ago, but my computer didn't like it, so now after having bought new parts, leaving only the CPU and motherboard left of the old I got to play it on full steam, one of the best looking games made so far, the lighting the modeles fantastic looking game. It's also a great game gameplay and story wise, The combat is great, it's a mix of block and repostie and dodging.

At first you are kinda weak, then after you upgrade, you get lots of cool move, like beeing able to cut down 3-4 guys at once, able to parry an attack then attacking before they recover them self.

The world is drak and violent, the elves and dwarfs are misstreated or miss trusted, and so take to the woods to fight for their freedom, lots of small petty kindoms in the north and one huge powerfull empire to the south, there are sevral ways the game can change, you can choose to to ally with, how violent you want to be.

It's a great game, I didn't want to paint while I was playing this game, but even after I'm done, I kinda rather want to play it again diffrently then start to paint again.

But no I have to start to paint again. I. HAVE. TO. MISTER. SPOOCK.

So tomorrow I'll try and start work on my greek horse, and how I can paint them.

Why, would you make someting that has 100% chance of breaking

This is to vent some frustration.

I orderd a 50mm Vietnam war figure, the model is fantasic, the right gear, perfect look and anatomy, BUT it's made of resin plastic, resin plastic works great for sqare buildings.

IT WORKS REALLY REALLY BAD ON A THIN THIN M16!!!

Before I orderd it, and I saw it was resin, I said to my self, that m16 is gonna break before I look at it, but the figure was really nice so I orderd one.

I got it, and say the thin thin delicate M16, I had to cut it loose, I got a super sharp hobby knife and tried to get it out of the thing it was stuck to, what happend, broke in half not a chance that it would get off with out breaking, so I got out the green stuff, and started to glue it togeather, then it broke again, this time the tip of the barrles, which disapeard, so now I had to make a new barrles of green stuff, and I suck at modeling. Then a few days ago I saw that the damn carry handle was gone to, so now I have to make a carry handle of green stuff, and thats very very hard to get it thin enough and small enough and then get it onto the m16.

So my question is why would someone sell resin models when they know how delicate it is, I mean this is expencive models at over £10 a model, you would think you could make it in metal with it it beeing much more expencive, or soft plastic, ANYTHING BUT RESIN.

Why sell a product that got a 96% chance of breaking with in seconds of getting it to the customer. This isn't a bad cheap bad product, the modeler got REAL talent, lots of time has gone into making it. It's like designing a super car, and making it out of wax paper.

Pictureless update

Well, apernatly Bangladesh Customs are evil bastards, they now hold my french and british hostage or something, aperantly they are med of silver, so right now nobody knows what the hell is going to happen, this is ofcourse not Neils fault, is has never happend to any package he has sent before, and he has sent lots of packages since with no problem, just my standard bout of bad luck.
This has ofcourse totaly fucked up my plans for a quick and easy way of getting two gamable forces. So I'm "slighlty" anoyed at the bangladesh costoms.
Anyway, this has lead to some changes in planes,

1. I'm not gonna paint any more british/portugese tho I only had two more to do. but since my french aren't gonna show up for months and months now. I've kinda lost a taste for doing it.
2. I have orderd austrians from sash and saber, they are very nice figures and only $1 a fig.
3. I have a bunch of russians on the way from foundry, that will end up as 3 battalions of jegers.
4. I've orderd prussian landwehr from calpe
5. I've orderd more ready painted figs from Neil, austrians and prussians.

Now this means I got ALOT of coalition forces. infact when they are painted up, I'll have 12 battlions worth.

BUT that leaves the french with 1 battalion, even if it's one battalion of the 13th legere, I doubt they can win.
Which leaves.

6. I have orderd vistula legion figs,
7. I have orderd bravarians.

This means I'm gonna make a very unhistoric division, I just can't bear the though of painting all those french my self, so I'll just have to wait for the RBP shippment to get released from hostage to get the french.
So my totaly unhistoric division will have french light infantry brigade, vistula legion brigade and a bravarian brigade. Now the plan is to just make this rag tag division so I CAN FINNALY PLAY.
The allies will have the same unhistoric divsion of russians, prussians and austrians in one division, just so i CAN FINNALY PLAY.

Hopefully the brigades will be expanded into divisions. so one day I'll have a austrian, russian, prussians, polish, bravarian and french divsion along with my British..

But this is getting realy complicated, my simple plan gone to hell,
PS, Again this is not Neils fault, just bad bad luck. which is why I orderd more figures from him.
